Domaine de Loustalviel. LoustalBeau was an excellent place to stay
and the surrounding area had plenty to occupy us. We had a wonderful

"We had a thoroughly brilliant week,
the only problem we found was by arriving after mid-day on Sunday no
where was open to get the baisic essentials, (bread tea coffe milk
etc) so the opportunity of a welcome pack would have been very
beneficial, apart from that the property and it's surroundings were
truly fantastic. Thankyou for a superb holiday."
Owner Comment:
Thank you, Lynne, for drawing attention to this logistical problem.
We warn our guests before they travel that there is no shopping
after midday on Sundays pretty well anywhere in France. If flight
schedules force you to arrive on Sunday afternoons, please let us
know, and we'll try and help. |

| "The position of the property and the
views were fantastic and such a lovely place to come back to after a
day out doing something energetic. We loved the under floor heating
and the wood burner and the property was a real pleasure to stay
in. Not only was it beautifully situated it was well equiped and very
comfortable. A great place for a winter break and I am sure it must
be fantastic in the summer as well. Would recommend to anyone." |

"good size, good quiet position with
fine views, and having a bathroom in each bedroom is as it should be
these days. Very warm, and under floor heating is very good for a
tiled floor. Nice wood burner. modern and clean ambiance. Beds and
furnsihings a bit on the mean side in size and quality maybe? Table
too small to fit legs under easily (we are all near 6 feet tall).
Beds had thin sheets we had to make up ourselves and no matress
protectors; and there is poor sound insulation between bedrooms. But
much better than most gites, and we would go back."
Owner Comment:
Thank you, John, for your helpful comments.
There should certainly have been mattress covers (not plastic
protectors), and the beds should always be made up on arrival. Sorry
about this; we'll try to make sure it doesn't happen again.
We have checked all the bedlinen and thrown away any that were on
the thin side (well, not actually thrown them away; we're using them
ourselves!).
The dining table is such a charming farmhouse antique that we think
most of our guests will be happy with it.
But we are delighted, John, that like all our other guests, you feel
the Domaine de Loustalviel warrants a return visit.

| "If you are looking for a peaceful
holiday in idyllic surroundings then LoustalBeau at Le Domaine de
Loustalviel is the location to head for. the accommodation is
beautiful and much larger then I expected. Sitting in the evening
with the view of the mountains in the distance and the sounds of the
birds was just perfect. the swimming pool was the jewel to top it
all (a little cold to start but be brave and it will be worth it).
We had good weather the first week and cloudy the second. Around Le
Domaine de Loustalviel there are plenty of small towns to visit and
Carcassonne should not be missed. Finally, the Caretaker was a
'pet', helpful yet not intrusive and always on hand if needed." |

| "Superior accomodation which exceeded
our expectations. Spotless and clean with a view to die for! The
cleanest pool ever encountered. An opportunity to stay in a handsome
barn with picture window looking out over rural France...you will
not be dissapointed." |
